Welcome to SecurePDF AI. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our tools.

1. Acceptance of Terms¶
By accessing or using SecurePDF AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We may modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Service Description¶
SecurePDF AI provides browser-based PDF processing tools including, but not limited to, compression, merging, splitting, conversion, protection, and other document operations. Files are uploaded to our servers, processed using server-side tooling, and returned to you as downloadable output. Uploaded files are encrypted at rest and automatically deleted at the end of your tier’s download window (within 1 hour on Free, and 24 hours on Pro / Teams).
3. Acceptable Use¶
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may:
- Process PDF files that you own or have authorization to modify.
- Use the output files for any lawful personal or commercial purpose.
- Access the Service through standard web browsers or our documented API (when available).
4. Prohibited Content and Conduct¶
You must not use the Service to:
- Upload, process, or distribute files containing illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, content that violates intellectual property rights, or materials prohibited by applicable law.
- Attempt to circumvent security measures, bypass file processing limits, or exploit vulnerabilities in the Service.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
5. File Size Limits¶
The Service enforces per-upload file size limits that vary by tier:
- Free tier: up to 100 MB per file.
- Pro and Teams tiers: up to 500 MB per file.
Files exceeding the applicable limit will be rejected. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time without prior notice.
6. Service Availability and SLA¶
SecurePDF AI is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uptime, processing speed, or uninterrupted availability. There is no Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the free tier. Scheduled or unscheduled maintenance may cause temporary service disruptions without prior notice.
7. Payment and Billing¶
Paid tier subscriptions (Pro, Teams, Student) are billed through Polar.sh, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing to a paid plan you agree to Polar’s terms of service and privacy policy in addition to these Terms. SecurePDF AI does not store your payment card details. All billing disputes should be addressed via [email protected]or directly through Polar’s customer portal.
8. Intellectual Property¶
You retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights to the files you upload and the processed output. SecurePDF AI claims no ownership, license, or rights over your content. The Service itself, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of SecurePDF AI and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
9. Limitation of Liability¶
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SecurePDF AI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits.
- File corruption or processing errors.
- Service interruptions or downtime.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to SecurePDF AI in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification¶
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SecurePDF AI, its operators, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
- Any content you upload to or process through the Service.
11. Governing Law¶
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
12. Changes to Terms¶
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
