A snapshot of what we have shipped, what is in flight, and what is on the backlog. Item order and timing reflect current priorities and will shift as we learn from real usage.

Phase 1 — Launched and stabilizing
Compress, merge, split, convert, protect, watermark, and more — all running on native binaries (Ghostscript, qpdf, MuPDF, Poppler) for production-grade output.
Uploads are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, processed in isolated jobs, and auto-deleted after the per-tier download window. No accounts required for any free-tier tool.
Chain multiple PDF operations into a single reusable workflow. Templates and ad-hoc pipelines both supported.
MDX-powered editorial system, structured data, sitemap, and per-route canonical/hreflang for full search-engine surface area.
Installable on desktop and mobile with an offline fallback shell. Core static routes stay reachable when the network drops.
Phase 2-3 — In flight over the next two quarters
Optional sign-in, saved pipelines, higher size and concurrency limits, and billing handled through Polar.sh. AI features ship with the dedicated AI Pro tier.
Summarize, ask-this-PDF, smart redaction, and form-field extraction — all running server-side with the same auto-deletion guarantees as our binary tools.
Authenticated REST endpoints for every tool, with idempotency keys, webhook callbacks, and usage-based metering for high-volume customers.
OAuth-based round-tripping so users can pull a file from cloud storage, process it, and write the result back without leaving the tool.
Drag-drop a folder, get a table of jobs with per-row status, retry, and bulk download. Already available via API; UI layer is next.
Phase 4-5 — On the longer-horizon backlog
Multi-locale tool pages, blog, and marketing surface via next-intl. Hreflang scaffolding already in place; translation pipeline is the remaining work.
Shared pipeline templates, audit logs, SSO, and seat-based billing for organizations that need centralized governance over PDF workflows.
A Docker bundle of the processing pipeline for customers with strict data-residency or air-gapped requirements. Mirrors the SaaS feature set.
Document intelligence beyond single tools — multi-document reasoning, structured extraction to schemas, and pipeline steps that call user-defined prompts.
A native wrapper around the local processing engine for users who want the same toolset entirely offline. Lower priority than the SaaS roadmap above.
